*Separate Courses – We don’t mix new 40 hour students with existing renewal students. This improves the quality of both 40 hour tester and 24 hour renewal courses. New students learn starting from the basics without outside influence, while more advanced training can be provided for returning students.
*Free Gauge Certification – A free gauge certification is available to each student currently enrolled in a Continuing Education course. This service is only offered at the time of the student’s course, and can be offered due to the advantage of having two instructors on site. (Gauge testing must be separate and is not part of a TCEQ approved training course).
*Free Troubleshooting Assistance – After completing the 40 hr. tester or 24 hr. renewal course, backflow prevention assembly testers can contact one of our instructors for in-field assistance in the troubleshooting and repair of backflow prevention assemblies. In most instances they can help solve your problem over the phone.
*Two Instructors – This is beneficial in the hands-on training for backflow prevention assembly testers. It enables the student additional opportunity to have personal one-on-one training with an instructor.
*TCEQ Training Credits – Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) training credits are provided with all courses for Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers and for other water licenses when attending the 40 Hr. Tester or 8 Hr. Fundamental Course. CEUs additionally are provided by the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners for credit toward obtaining a Plumbing Inspector’s License.
*Optimal Hands-on Training – Our backflow assembly testing stations are individually mounted and spread out in courses with available seating for students. Assemblies consist of all four types and interchangeable by the students themselves. This results in an optimized learning environment with a relaxed atmosphere and the opportunity for one-on-one training with an instructor. Detailed hands-on troubleshooting is part of our course.
*ABPA National Certification – This national certification is generally recognized across the country and is beneficial to a tester planning on testing backflow prevention assemblies outside of Texas. Contact us for more information about the ABPA national tester certification.
*Learn from Experience – We train on a national level. Our instructors are continually involved with the American Backflow Prevention Association and maintain contact with others across the country regarding backflow related issues. In class you’ll be taught from experience in areas of enforcement, testing, troubleshooting, and of the repairing of backflow prevention assemblies. You’ll learn first hand the do’s and don’ts. Cross connection control and backflow prevention is our primary focus, going back to the mid-1970’s.
